We know a lot about resource recovery and effective recycling.
You know a lot about the environment, your community and what makes the local economy tick.
Together we can ensure that Prairie Sky is developed in a way that best fits the community.
We welcome and encourage your input. So, in addition to this website, we’re establishing a number of different avenues to share
information and conduct that dialogue:
1. Door-to-door visits to residents and businesses in the Blackie community and the surrounding rural area to introduce
ourselves and provide you with project information.
2. Community Open Houses, where you will have the opportunity to view project specifics and meet Prairie Sky
representatives. The first of these was held on June 8, 2011 and the second on June 28, 2011, both at the Blackie School.
Watch the Upcoming Events section for the latest information.
3. A public information line – (403) 684-3621 – where you can also ask questions and speak to a Prairie Sky representative.
4. A Community Information Centre in Blackie, to open shortly, where you will be able to drop in, have a coffee
or cold drink, pick up the latest information and chat with a Prairie Sky team member.
5. Ongoing discussion with local municipal government representatives to address community questions and comments.
6. This website where you can view information and leave feedback.
A Personal Message from Mike Gladstone
“Hi, I'm Mike Gladstone, project manager for the Prairie Sky Resource Centre. I'm looking forward to getting to know you, hearing your views and answering any questions you have.
Don't worry if all your questions aren’t answered yet. There are still a lot of details yet to be decided. We want to make sure that we have heard all of your views before the plans are finalized.
There's going to be a lot more information available about this project as it proceeds. Many of you were able to attend our two Open Houses on June 8th and June 28th. As a follow up, we are continuing to visit individual residents to discuss our plans, the changes we are looking to reflect community input and how to address specific concerns you may have.
I also want you to know that you can call me anytime, during regular business hours, with your comments or questions. I'm available at (403) 684-3621.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you and working with you to make Prairie Sky a reality. It’s a project that will benefit your community and protect our common environment.”
